Easiest is the passenger ferry from Auckland. The Subritzky sea link, passenger and vehicle ferry goes from Jellicoe Street, Auckland, three and a half hours later this lands you in Tryphena the southern most port on the Great Barrier.
Fullers passenger is the only ferry service to Tryphena taking two and a half hours.
Alternatively, Great Barrier Airlines, lands you in Claris taking a 25 minute taxi ride to Tryphena.
